With much of the world still reliant on sustenance farming, healthy livestock often makes the difference between proper nutrition and malnourishment. Effective Livestock Care (ELC) helps people better their living conditions by training rural families and sustenance farmers on the basic care and treatment of livestock.

In 13 bi-lingual sessions, Dr. Peter Quesenberry of Christian Veterinarian Mission, along with his colleagues Dr. Fred Gardener and Dr. Jean Reed, cover essential topics out of his well-known book “Where There is no Animal Doctor”.  ELC uses in-studio lectures supplemented with abundant live, in-field examples, as well as numerous pictures and diagrams, to take full advantage of the DVD format.

The advantages to ELC's bi-lingual format include:

• ● ELC is designed to offer the greatest degree of flexibility possible through it’s bi-lingual format.
• ● The bi-lingual format makes translating ELC quick and inexpensive compared to dubbing or sub-titling.
• ● One version of ELC has English with the second language muted. This allows English speaking translators to translate ELC live into any language.
• ● Many countries use one “official” languages with many minor languages spoken in rural areas. Since ELC is being put into many "official" languages, a live translator can easily translate from the official language, over the English, into one of the other languages of the country.

For example, in Mexico, Spanish is common and so the English/Spanish version can be used. However, in one area the people only speak an Indian language called "Tsental." A live translator can listen to the Spanish and speak over the English translating into "Tsental."
